Happy New Bike Day

So I've finally done it. After far too much time on the interweb researching, I went to see a Honda CBF600 and came away with a Yamaha XJ6 Diversion. It's brilliant. Totally different to the old GPZ.  It feels so much more planted on the road, the engine is so smooth and so much more power. I will miss the old bike, it taught me the basics and helped me develop my confidence especially on the motorways. But it was having problems, the indicators were temperamental, the brakes weren't great, starter motor was on it's way out and there was no fuel gauge or clock. The XJ6 feels like a Rolls Royce at the moment, I'm sure I'll get used to it but at the moment it's fabulous. Pics to follow, when it's had a polish.

Late night again....

The time is correct. Let's hope the boys are kind to me on Father's Day morning and let me sleep until 8.

Bryan Adams Sheffield Arena

A good night, lots of old songs mixed with some new ones. Bryan seemed to enjoy himself too, which was nice. Almost did a solo acoustic set at the end.

Noel Gallagher

First Direct Arena, Leeds. A good gig, lots of new songs from Chasing Yesterday and obviously some Oasis classics thrown in. Fade Away, Talk Tonight, Digby's Dinner, Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall, Don't Look Back.... and The Masterplan. No Live Forever though.😞 Lots of Leeds banter and footie talk.

Back home now..

Final day in North Yorkshire and what a good one it was. Tracy and the boys did Tree Top Junior in the morning after it was rearranged from yesterday due to the weather. Whilst they did that I went on a ride through the forest a mixture of red and blue routes some quite challenging but good fun. After lunch we all did the 8 mile route around the plateau, a bit of moaning to start with but all content by the end. Back to Dixon's Hollow afterwards which was great fun especially for Tracy who conquered some fears. Well done all.
