The walk back to the room

The morning walk back to the room after breakfast took longer and longer because Thomas found more things to investigate. The pool table was a good place to play with balls to roll and bang.

In the soft play area

As we are flying home today, we are keeping dry. Thomas has enjoyed the change and playing with the toys.

Final Day

The wind has got up fro our final day in Ibiza. There is hardly anyone on the beach and the waves are coming in strong.

The same beach

But a different angle and focus.

More sand investigating

What is this stuff?

On the way to the bar across the beach, Thomas stopped to investigate the sand. Not much went into his mouth! He loved sifting it through his fingers and feeling it between his little toes. A whole new texture for him to experience.

Me and my Mummy

Not in matching outfits but still looking good.

Me and my boy

Content by the poolside with my Mummy.

Thomas is happy chattering away to himself playing with the bucket, watering can and fishie and his Mummy. Idyllic Ibiza.

After a long nap

Thomas has finally got in the water. Stalker Chloe has been buzzing round like a wasp all morning waiting for Thomas to wake up, finish his lunch, get in the water... We think she is eventually getting the hint that Thomas doesn't want to be poked and prodded all the time. Just as one disappears, another appears.

Another family photo.

Getting a family photo is never easy especially with a baby. This shot was taken by the mother of Jude, a little boy just a bit older than Thomas. We have been talking to Jude's family during our stay and sharing experiences. Liberty from the family is featured on a different photo.

Playing with girls again.

Still playing with Olivia

Thomas and Olivia have been playing together on the side of the pool for most of the day. Swaping fish, counting and stacking buckets, and smiling at everyone in the pool. A real joy to watch.

Playing with my new friend, Olivia.

Come in number 12 your time is up!

By the toddler pool

Lunch has just been taken and the afternoon swim is about to commence.

I can move my parasol!

The forecast

The weather in Ibiza has been great. Quite hot and generally with a breeze. The forecast predicts abit of rain for the last couple of days. Let up hope not.
Unfortunately I have missed many of the sunsets. (The final descent of the sun seems to go very quickly.) This is mainly due to the kids club entertainment which stop at the same time. Thomas likes watching it especially the manic dancing and has loved doing the holiday express with Thomas as well as the cartoon heroes finale. I am sure it wont be long before he doing them on his own.

The Sirenis Seaview

Although the hotel food is good, not as good as the cypriot food, we have needed a variety in our diet and eaten elsewhere. Last night we eat at a lovely place quite late after Thomas had fallen asleep, eventually. It was good to have quality 'us' time. The only problem with eating out is on occasions we have Thomas has had a bad night, which has kind of spoilt the whole evening. He is cutting another tooth at the moment so that might explain he disrupted sleep.

New found confidence

The last couple of days have seen some remarkable changes in Thomas's confidence in the water. His sense of balance has really developed. He enjoys one-handed walls across the pool and guiding himself around the side. This morning he also went for a solo walk using a boat as a guide. We were both looking away and turned around to see Thomas strolling across the pool pushing an inflatable boat in front of him. He has made a couple of further solo voyages since then but supervised!

Relaxing enjoying the evening's entertainment

Today in the pool

There was an abundance of lilos in the toddler pool so Captain Rees had a choice of vessels. This multi-coloured boat did the job well and Thomas again enjoyed the ride.

Comfy?

Still enjoying the ride to San Antonio

On board the ferry

Although he slept through the ferry ride there Thomas made up for it on the way back. He spent most of the trip looking out to sea. Thomas really seemed to enjoy the wind on his face.

Later last night

Tracy and I went for a meal after Thomas had fallen asleep. It was great to finally not have to rush a meal and enjoy each others company. The curry was lovely and a real change from the hotel food which is not up too much.
Unfortunately Thomas woke up on the way back to the hotel and it took the best past of 2 hrs to get him back to sleep. He will be shattered today as will we. Hopefully when we get home he will soon get back into a proper routine of sleep. The little fella has coped extremely well with all the change but sometimes you wonder whether he misses his home comforts like remote controls, carpets, a larger cot, tasty bananas and different books to read.

The morning view from 5202

A lovely view at any time of the day.

Sunset.

We took a walk this evening to catch the sunset. Unfortunately the cloud cover spoilt it being a magnificent sight although it was still spectacular.

This is the life!

Lounging in the shade!

Magnet

Magnetising girls out of the pool, Thomas has never been short of helpers to guide him round the pool. Here he is being 'supervised' by some girls. Tracy has sometimes felt like a child minder with the number of children she has been 'playing with'. It never ceases to amaze us how uninterested some people are in their own children!

Me and my Mummy in Ibiza

Me and my Daddy in Ibiza

A man at work.

Thomas has sent ages tonight sat in his cot playing with his stacking cups. He must have been focussed on them for at least 20mins. By the end he had put 4 cups in the correct order - he was so chuffed. He really enjoyed the time quietly getting on with the task of sorting whilst Tracy and I were busy getting things ready.
He is still finding mealtimes difficult whether it is the amount of people walking past or the lateness of the meal or a little bit of 'wanting what Mummy and Daddy have got', it is hard to tell. Let's hope that things get better soon.

Holiday snap

Before we headed down for dinner there was just time for a family holiday snap. This took longer than usual as it was 'a camera at arms length' job. The end pic is great though.

Captain Rees

It didn't take long before girls were offering to give him a ride in their boat. Thomas clearly enjoyed the ride. Earlier in the day we took him to the beach which he also enjoyed. Obviously he wanted to eat the sand but he wasn't allowed. He built and destroyed his first sandcastle with his Mummy's help!

On the white stuff!

On the San Miguel

Waving Goodnight

Happiest is playing on the beach after your bedtime

Accidents happen!

In the bathroom, or more specifically the bath can be a dangerous place. One of the stacking cups bounced back and hit Thomas on the bridge of the nose. As you can see from the photo he was pretty annoyed by the whole thing.

Apres swim

Literally 2 mins after coming out of the water this afternoon, Thomas has fallen asleep on the sunbed in his towel. All this swimming is wearing him out.

Cheeky monkey

I dont want to sleep! 5 mins later I am fast asleep whilst Mummy and Daddy have a drink in the bar.

The evening entertainment

Tracy was enjoying the evening entertainment but Thomas was not completely convinced by it. Tonight is a warm night and the little fella is struggling a bit.

Good morning

After naptime

Thomas has done several laps of the pool, and needs to recharge for the rest of the day. Tracy and I are really enjoying playing with him in the water. The weather is glorious just enough breeze to cool you down. Thomas seems to be coping in the heat very well which is good.
