Mr Argumentative

Catching up on some sleep. Little fella is still not 100% but seems a lot better if a little argumentative.

Land of counterpane

I'm ill with flu like symptoms. No Millhouse or Meadstead today. Am going to try and make u staff meeting later but I'll need to make a rapid recovery. Yesterday with the class was a nightmare: I have my work cut out for me come January!

Mr Men

Thomas keeps creating new Mr Men. Today he is Mr Argumentative! He has also started making up weird and wonderful names for things about the house which is funny!

Eddy

Was taken to the doctors yesterday as he has been rasping with his breathing and coughing for a few days. He has an infection on his left side and a course of antibiotics to complete. As you can see he isn't sleeping too well either.

The snow is back

It came at the weekend and is still here. I have been out clearing the snow out of the front but all the schools are shut today. Longcar is closed as well so all the snow clearing was just my exercise for the year.

All except Eddy

We have all felt a bit under the weather the last couple of days. Thomas was sent home from nursery last Thursday with the runs and has been poorly for a while. He now has cough and cold but is finally looking and sounding better. Tracy has had tummy bug and sore throat for a while and I not been as bad as the others but definitely not been 100%. So all except Eddy have been ill.

Weston Park Museum

A day spent at the museum was very enjoyable for all of us. There was plenty of hands on for Thomas which makes a big difference.

Little monkey

This little boy is great. His brother is a monkey at the moment, drawing on walls and carpets with pencils and felt tips! Hopefully this fad will past soon!

Meadstead

Was told on Friday that after Christmas I'll be the new acting Assistant Head at Meadstead. I'm excited at the idea as well as concerned that I might not be able to cut the mustard. I have been assured that I'll get support to ensure that I can hit the ground running. Y6 wwoohaa!

Eddy wants to sit up! All the time he is trying to lift himself up especially when he's in the bath. Bless him. 
I had some good news about work which will continue until Sept 2011 and then possibly further. There is also the possibility of a role at Meadstead which will be y6 possibly until the end of the year. We will see tomorrow!

Another interview.

In a Barnsley school this time! Been shortlisted for the Kendray post and have an interview next week. Time to decide then!

Back to work

Went back to work today and was sent a lovely picture of my little boys by Tracy. Thomas has really started to show an interest in Eddy recently and wants to hold him and cuddle him more. Eddy is very tuned into Thomas' voice and smiles a lot when he is around. I am sure they will be best of friends soon and a pair of cheeky monkeys if Thomas is anything to go by!!

A snap decision and we were in York again at the NRM. Thomas obviously enjoyed it but the excitement was not as much as last time. Eddy was able to see more this time. A bit late home because of the traffic but we all coped. Am sure we will be back but probably not for a while,

Exploring at New Miller Dam

Going off the main path into the woods was a lot of fun for Thomas on Thursday. Collecting twigs and leaves was new and exciting and Thomas clearly enjoyed it.

Thomas has loved exploring the inside of this building with all of the staircases and stone rooms. Definitely takes after his mummy! Eddy enjoyed the first walk round in the carrier.

Hello everyone!

Took Eddy to work this afternoon as I was looking after the boys when Tracy went to a wedding. Eddy smiled away at everyone and a big hit. Shame not everyone is supportive in your professional development!

More good news!

This is the present situation from BMBC. Not that great if i'm honest. Nobody knows exactly what is going to happen and that is the main problem! I will keep looking. I need to!

Recently

I had an interview and didn't get the job: Everyone has been ill with colds, pains and sickness: Tracy has had some good but lots of not so good days: Eddy now weighs 14 lbs 9: Eddy had some jabs: I have applied for an assistant headship: Work have issued us all with 90day redundancy consultation notices: Eddy is fine!

Interview time.

Today I'm having an interview for a deputy head's post in Rotherham. So far I have done a lesson, a 10 minute presentation, had an interview, done some data analysis and action planning. So only the interview with the school council and another unseen task to go! Not going to bad so far I think but hey you never know do you!

A pleasant walk round here today cleared a few cobwebs away and gave us all some fresh air and exercise.

A bad time

Things have not been good for us all recently. Thomas has had a cold, Tracy is still struggling with her tablets and sleeping and eating, and yesterday something I ate made me very poorly overnight. I came home and went straight to bed, had little sleep and generally felt bad. I seem to be on the mend. Eddy is fine!

The Gruffalo

We all, except Eddy, had a trip to the theatre today to see The Gruffalo. Thomas watched it not sure if he fully appreciated it but he seemed interested. The seats on the front row of the balcony were intriguing for Thomas with a spectacular view of the inside. The play with songs and dancing was ok but the passages from the book were where the performance came alive for all the children in the audience. An experience it was.
