Enjoy.

2 days into riding the GPZ and I broke down, well actually I ran out of petrol. Took me a while to realise so the AA had been called and were on their way. A kind biker stopped to help but it still didn't twig until the AA said it would be 8.00 before they would get to me.
Lesson learned.

Nostell Priory

A day out with Emilia and Aunty Karen at the Priory, no rain and plenty of walking.

Evidence of unwelcome visitors.

Even if they do make perfect hexagonal patterns, they are still not welcome here.

Skating today

Eddy really found this photo funny. Couldn't stop laughing at himself when I showed it to him.

Finally got it home.

It makes a lovely noise too, just need my Mods now.

Piano

We have a renewed vigor for learning the piano this holiday.  Thomas and Eddy are both enjoying playing and learning, especially Thomas who is really excelling and clearly enjoying just playing.

Jason and the Scorchers

Sensational, emotional and memorable gig time. Jason and the Scorchers at the Musician in Leicester last night. They played nearly 3 hours, over 20 songs and all very tight and spot on. Highlights for me, Close Up the Road (Warner reckoned over 20 years since they played it), Broken Whiskey Glass, Good Things Come To Those Who Wait, and White Lies. But to be honest it was all great, even the 2 songs that I didn't know!
Only downside was the journey home which took 3 hours; getting home just before 3am. My kingdom for a car indeed.;-)

YBR 125 gone

Can't believe how much interest there was in it on eBay. But it has gone to a good home back north changing Leeds.  I have enjoyed the riding though and am excited about the prospect of the GPZ.;-)

Pulled over

What a shambles being pulled over was; quite a shame really as in principle it seemed a good idea.

Marking finished.

14 independent studies, subject specialism, vision statements and foundation degree rationales all done. What a week.
Time for a beer ..... And my ironing....

Nostell Priory 25-5-15

Family fun at the local National Trust place, we are now members. Seems a nice place with plenty going on and plenty of space. The boys like the playground. So does Tracy.

Par-tee

Well the sun shone and the wind blew. Eddy had his family party and fully enjoyed it. The presents went down great and Thor and Little Princess behaved themselves. No BBQ though.

Morning Maths

We counted the pegs for the hedgehogs and there were 64. The pack said that there should be 85. Asked Eddy how many were missing, 25. No try again. 21. No thought or counting on fingers, all in his head. Amazing.

Interesting use of dot matrix signs.

Is this the current feeling amongst eco warriors? They got it wrong....

Millhouses Park

Scooter boys at Millhouses Park. Both got more confident as the afternoon went on. Unfortunately Thomas had a fall right at the end which knocked a front tooth out. He's ok but it was a nasty knock.

Climbing this time. Boys will be boys and there two have just started climbing stuff.

Encounter with police....

Just been bapped by a dogvan after cruising through an amber light. Unfortunately the police van lined up at the next set of lights, started beeping his horn at me and we had 2 chat about not risking running an amber light. Necessary? Probably not.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park

Lovely, if cold at times, day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park with the family today. Been a few years since we've been and it has changed massively. Polar bears, lions, leopards, ostriches to name a few. Lots to see and a good range of walkthroughs and vantage points to see the animals from. Boys were brilliant.

Riding around

Yes it was cold, very cold today but I really enjoyed my rides to 2 schools in Barnsley. There is definitely something but being on a motorbike that is very appealing, very appealing indeed. My next move is to get my full licence and then a bigger bike like the Yamaha FZS600, pictured, then some serious commuting.

Science Homework

Really enjoyed doing Eddy's homework this week as it allowed us to do some science investigations about snow. It was funny that Eddy thought snow disappeared when it melted, but we did a few experiments to discover what really happened.
Eddy's maths ability is still amazing, on Sunday .... Are two 21s 42? 3 minutes later .... Are three 21s 63!!
Thomas has passed all of his times tables tests, and moved up spelling groups, well done son.

Heavy snow in Barnsley....again.

The boys' school is closed again. Lucky them.

Not worried about the Maths....

...more bothered about the use of apostrophes!

It will soon be all gone.
